MANHÃ DE JUNHO
Talvez, talvez sejam os últimos
dias. Se for assim, são um esplendor.
Apesar dos aviões da Nato despejarem
bombas e bombas no Kosovo, a perfeição
mora neste muro branco
onde o escarlate
da flor da buganvília sobe ao encontro
da luz fresca da manhã de Junho.
A beleza (não há outra palavra
para dizê-lo), desta manhã
é terrível: persiste, domina,
apesar dos aviões, mesmo com
bombas a cair e crianças a morrer.
